City holds run-off election

The city of Crockett will hold early voting through Tuesday, June 2 in the run-off election for council position in Precinct 2.
Two candidates are vying for the position, Robert Meadows and Woodrow Jones. Meadows received 81 votes in the Saturday, May 9 election and Jones garnered 47.
The winner of the June 6 election will replace Councilman Darius Kitchen who served two consecutive terms on the council as well as two previous terms.
Precinct 2 voters will be able to case their ballots on Saturday, June 6 at the Crockett Fire Station.
