Exchange Student in Crockett

Alexander Schultheiss, 18, is a German exchange student attending Crockett High School.
Alex, as he is called, is from a big city in Germany called Esson.
You would never know he was from another country, he is fluent in English.
His host family is Jim and Ellen Brooks of Crockett.
He said that he has adjusted to the Houston County lifestyle very well.
He makes excellent grades, participates in the Dickie Boys and in Junior Varsity Baseball at CHS and he attends the First Baptist Church in Crockett.
Alex said there was no baseball in his hometown in Germany
He enjoys fishing, learning how to garden and hanging out with his new friends he has made in Crockett.
When Alex was asked what state would you like to visit, he was given three choice, Oregon, Pennsylvania or Texas. He said he just had a good feeling about Texas.
So he picked Crockett to be his temporarily home.
Alex will leave Thursday, May 28 to return home.
He said he would tell his friends and family about his adventures and share the exciting stories about the good friends he met while in Crockett.
