Auditions to be held
Houston County Courier - May 2009
Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Robinson Crusoe at Crockett Civic CenterMonday, June 15, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
All those auditioning should arrive by 10 a.m. and plan to stay the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.
Approximately 60 roles are available for local students 1st-12th grade.
Those auditioning must have finished kindergarten.
Approximately 50-60 local children will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Directors.
There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.
No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup.
The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week.
There is no charge to be in the production. If cast, participants are required to bring a lunch every day. Lunch will be at 12 p.m.
No advance preparation is necessary, however a legal parent or guardian must register each child before they will be allowed to audition.
Most students will rehearse four hours each day, Monday through Friday.
The performances are scheduled for Saturday, June 20 at 3 and 7:30 p.m. at Crockett Civic Center.
There is no charge for children to be in the production.
General admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for children 18 and younger for each performance.
This production is part of Missoula Children's Theatre unique international touring project and is presented locally by the Piney Woods Fine Arts Association and supported by BBB Enterprises
Registration forms are available at the Jordan School, Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Piney Woods Fine Arts office.
