Lovelady welcomes new superintendent

LOVELADY – A reception welcoming the new Lovelady Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Micah Dyer was held in the elementary school cafeteria on Sunday, May 1. The well attended reception included well wishes from fa-culty, parents, children and business leaders from throughout the community. Dr. Dyer actually started working at LISD on Monday, May 3 but will officially as-sume the position of superin-tendent of schools on July 1. He was previously employed with Kirbyville ISD where he served as junior high school principal and central office intern. Lovelady is his first assignment as superintendent. He worked for Kennard ISD 2002-2005 and served as head coach for baseball and volley-ball. Having worked in education for the past 10 years, Dr. Dyer said, “I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue the greatness at Lovelady ISD.” Dr. Dyer will replace John Reynolds who is retiring. |
