Splish! Splash! Crockett Municipal Pool to open May 29

Summer is almost here and the City of Crockett Municipal Pool will soon be open, Crockett Administrator Ron Duncan has announced. The city plans to open the pool for the summer season beginning Tuesday, May 29. The pool will be open Tuesdays - Sundays through the summer from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. The cost for each three -hour swimming session will be $3 per person. The city also will sponsor water aerobics every Monday morning from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. beginning on Monday, June 11. The cost for water aerobics will be $3 per session. Additionally, the pool also will be available for private parties beginning Monday, May 14. Two-hour party sessions will be available nightly 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Call Frances at (936) 546-5467 to schedule a party. City staff ask, “Please, do not bring large sound systems for parties. Music is allowed. However, the sound should be limited to the immediate pool area so as not to disturb the neighborhood or other park activities.” The cost for parties will be $45 for the first 20 swimmers, plus $2 for each additional swimmer. The city staff hopes everyone will take advantage of using the pool this summer. The pool has been freshly painted, is handicap accessible and will be a great place to enjoy some fun in the sun. “We promise to provide you a clean, well managed facility which will provide you and your children a quality swimming experience,” Duncan pledged.
