HCHD meets with attorney By Lynda Jones The Houston County Hospital District Board of Directors met with its attorney, Kevin Reed of Austin, during an executive session Tuesday, May 15 at ETMC Crockett. The executive session lasted about one hour. When the board returned to open session, the directors adjourned their meeting with no discussion about the executive session. During the regular open meeting, there was no report about the HCHD board’s ETMC Lease Renewal Committee other than that the committee had met April 25. In other board business, the directors heard an update on the ETMC Surgery Center from ETMC Crockett Administrator Terry Cutler. Cutler advised the board that sheet rock was going up and the area was starting to take form. Stovall commented he hopes everyone in the county knows how fortunate the hospital district board was to be able to work with ETMC to get the surgery center built. During the public comments part of the meeting, Billy Groves of Crockett expressed concerns he says the public has about the status of ETMC. |
