Houston County has about 212 historical markers and many are in need of cleaning and painting. Fran and Cecil Miles of Weches will help with this project, but they need to know the location of those markers needing attention.
Anyone can assist the Houston County Historical Commission with this project by identifying locations and making pictures of markers and cemeteries.

The Miles do a wonderful job and would be happy to have others join them in their involvement in historic preservation. 
This project is ideally suited for those interested in the new RIP program that seeks to preserve and protect historic cemeteries.
