Crockett State School Holds Annual Employee Appreciation Picnic

Crockett State School Acting Superintendent Ron Stewart welcomed all staff members and guests to a Staff Appreciation Picnic on Friday, Oct. 3. Lou Ann Turner, warehouse manager, organized the event.
In appreciation of our hard working staff, Youth Right’s Specialist John Shroyer and Security Case Manager Paul Clebourn cooked 19 briskets, 50 leg quarters, and 30 pounds of sausage, which was served along with twice baked potatoes, barbecue beans, coleslaw, and all the trimmings, by the campus administrative staff,
Following the meal, Assistant Superintendent Debra Gibbs presented staff with their tenure awards
Patricia Tyer, Clarice Meineke, Kim Gonzalez, Erin Pemberton, and Courtney Wells received certificates of appreciation for their outstanding performance by organizing eight years of youth security files that had been in storage. 
Names were drawn for the special prizes, including metal yard sculptures and a barbecue pit made by the youth in the welding shop and a glider made by the youth in the building trades shop, Diagnostician James Howell was the winner of the glider, and Case Manager Sheila Collins took home the barbecue pit.
  Five-year tenure awards went to Rowland Aiguobarueghian, Samuel Butler, Michael Dailey, Linda Evans, Jason McDaniel, Myron Pope and Roxanne Terry.
Receiving 10 year tenure awards were Kathy Amie, Rebecca Coolbaugh, Pamela Hardin, Lysandria Haywood, Deborah Lively, Julie Patrick, Jennifer Moore, Larry Reece, Kathy Richmond, Gloria Riley, Maxine Simmons, Deidre Taylor, Tamatha Toliver, Lou Ann Turner, Jo Ann Wallace and Samantha Wiley.
A 15-year tenure award went to Joseph Heggins while Michael Doyle and Phillip Watson were recipients of 25-year tenure awards.
Overall, about 170 employees and their guests attended. Special guests included Alan Walters, deputy director of Juvenile Corrections, Alan Michel, TYC regional director, and Mike Davis, TYC regional director.
