Eleven members of Venture Crew 419 recently participated in the third annual Exploring/Venturing After Dark. 
This year’s event was held in Tyler on Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 25-26. 
The program is a progressive lock-in with various stops in the 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. time block. 
This year’s event featured roller skating, bowling, cope activities and a special Combat Challenge sponsored by the Tyler Fire Department. 
The Combat Challenge is a grueling course involving a five-story sprint, 50 -foot vertical rope haul, sledgehammer slam, fire hose drag, and dummy drag.
