CROCKETT - On Saturday Oct. 25, the Downes-Aldrich House held its annual scarecrow festival.
Inside, the lovely historical home was decorated with fall foliage while the scarecrows, carved pumpkins, and other Halloween décor adorned the outside.
This year's entries consisted of 10 scarecrows, three carved pumpkins and seven costumes.
First place winners were Crockett Garden Club - Funniest Scarecrow; Lucky Cleaners - Scariest Scarecrow; Lucky Cleaners – Best Pumpkin; and Jacob Falter – Best Costume.
Approximately 100 people enjoyed the day roaming the grounds and having a festive lunch of Autumn chowder, sandwiches, chips, cookies and drinks.
The board of directors thanked all of the participants for this year's entries and look forward to having them participate again next year.
