The Latexo Independent School District Trustees met in a regular meeting on Thursday Nov. 12 in the Latexo ISD Wilcox Community Center.
Trustee Jennifer Patton spoke in open forum concerning the marquee and expressed her concerns for more parent and community involvement.
She said she felt the marquee would be an asset to the Latexo school district.
Trustees approved the purchase of a marquee from the Spectrum Corporation in the amount of $29,476 to be taken from the fund balance.
Trustees authorized an auction for surplus items to be held the last two days before the Christmas holidays, Dec. 17-18,
Trustees approved the TASB Update 86 and accepted the bid on Suit# 05-0010 Houston County CAD Lot 56, Tejas Shores.
the December board meeting was moved from Dec. 17, to Dec. 10.
Trustees to cast their 400 votes for Jerry Pipes in the Houston County Appraisal District Board of Directors election.
Superintendent Dr. Tucker presented information on October Expenditures.
High School Principal Cynthia Neel and Elementary Principal Dr. Stacy Easterly presented information for November Calendar of Events.
David Goolsby presented updates made to the wetlands. He stated that Latexo ISD is now in compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Following an executive session, trustees voted to deny appeal of “At Will” employee for Level 3 Grievance.
The board upheld administration’s decision to terminate employment.
No Action taken on Job Reassignments for Auxiliary Staff.
