FFA wins top honors
Houston County Courier -  November 2009

GRAPELAND – Members of the Grapeland FFA participated in the District Leadership Contest held on Friday, Nov. 13 held at Sam Houston State University.
There were 25 schools represented at the competition.
Katie Brown placed 1st in the Job Interview contest and will advance to area on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at SFA.
The Junior Quiz team also placed 1st and will advance to area competition.
Members are Liz Diehl and Julie Riess, who tied for 1st high individual,
Brittany McCoy who was 4th high individual, Madison Kellum who was 8th high indivdual, and Amy Brown.
Liz Diehl finished 3rd in the Junior Creed Speaking Contest and Andi Huff was 3rd in the Senior Creed Speaking Contest.
The Radio Broadcasting team of Alex Stephenson, Andi Huff, and Zac Watson finished in 4th place.
