Winners named in annual event

The Crockett Downtown Beautification Corporation (CDBC) held the Second Annual Adult Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 31 and the event was deemed a great success.
Organizers said there was plenty of food and Charlie Bobbitt provided some great music.
Winners for the event included Stroll dance, Patsy Barney and Buddy Clonts; Twist, Afton Johnson and Charles Gene Johnson; Best Dressed, Sonja Logan and Cathy Minchew; Best Dressed Couple, Diane and Danny Martin and $100 door prize, Diane Martin.
A portion of the prize money was donated back to the corporation. 
CDBC thanked Robert Lee for donating the $100 door prize. 
CDBC has already started decorating the courthouse gearing up for the day of fun-filled events during Christmas in Crockett on Saturday, Nov. 21.
