CDBC Winner's
Houston County Courier -  November 2009

The Crockett Downtown Beautification Corporation (CDBC) announced the winners of the annual Crockett Downtown Business Decorating contest.
First place was awarded to First Community Bank and second place went to KIVY Radio.
Third place was presented to The Mercantile. 
Judges for the event included Cindy, Nikki and Samantha Gentry!
CDBC thanked Phillip Frizzell, owner of East Texas Tree Service and his helper Joe Luis for their help with a bucket truck.
Organizers also thanked Darrell Deckard, Mike and Mary Ann Lightsey, Ron and Sheryl Duncan and Ray and Jacque Fleming for helping decorate.
CDBC members surprised President Juanita Brenner with a plaque that read: "For all you do for our community, you are truly loved and appreciated.” 
The plaque is on the north side of the courthouse square.
