Railroad maintenance planned for overpass

Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) has scheduled maintenance work on the UPRR Overpass on Loop 304 in Crockett. According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the job will require reducing the travel lanes and detouring traffic. UPRR plans to conduct the work on Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both the east- and west-bound travel lanes will be reduced to one lane with westbound traffic moved to the eastbound lane. UPRR personnel will perform the job with RoadSafe Traffic Systems providing traffic control. TxDOT encourages motorists to allow extra time to reach their destinations or use alternate routes. The department also reminds drivers to use caution when traveling through this and all construction areas, obeying traffic control devices and watching for workers. Remember, traffic fines double when workers are present. |
