Loop 204 crash injures two

Two people were transported to ETMC Crockett following a 3 p.m. crash on Thursday, Oct. 15 in the 1200 block of Southeast Loop 304 at the intersection of South Fifth Street.
According to Crockett Police Department reports, 38-year-old Bert Hopkins and 43-year-old Tonjah Cooper, both of Crockett, were taken to the hospital for treatment of the injuries they sustained in the crash.
Reports indicate that Hopkins was driving a 1989 Oldsmobile southbound on Loop 304 and attempting to make a right turn onto Fifth Street when it was struck by a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado pickup pulling a livestock trailer driven by Jake Reed, 27, of Grapeland.
Reports indicate that when the pickup struck the Oldsmobile the passenger vechicle spun around and came to rest on Fifth Street.
