Students celebrate Red Ribbon Week
Houston County Courier -  October 2009

Students at Crockett Elementary School opened Red Ribbon Week with a celebration rally on Monday, Oct. 26.
Excited students paraded into the cafeteria at about 2 p.m. with banners featuring drug free slogans.
The banners were designed by each class and delivered heartfelt messages of the importance of remaining drug free. Those attending said the banners were very unique and creative in design.
Those attending were entertained by the Red Ribbon Committee, posing as the Foggy Bottom Cowboys who sang, "I Want To Be Drug Free.”
The committee offered a rendition of the Blues Brothers famous song, “Twist and Shout.”
Students received a very special message from Houston County Attorney Daphne Session who pointed out the many dangers associated with drugs.
The rally was concluded by a special guest appearance of Principal Ann Fiolek as “Rappin Ravioli and the Noodles.”
Crockett Elementary School officials thanked everyone in the community who supported the event.
