Elderly woman assaulted during home invasion

A 93-year-old woman was assaulted in her home by unknown assailants, reported Crockett Police Sgt. Lonnie Lum. Lum stated he was dispatched at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, to a residence on Rosewood. He said the woman reported several unknown subjects entered her home by breaking through her back door. It was also reported the subjects may have been wearing ski masks. At press time, it was unknown what was taken from the home, Lum said, because he had not yet been able to talk to the victim. He reported the contents of her purse were scattered and that the house was “a wreck” (from the subjects going through it). Crockett Police Department is investigating. |
