A woman, approximately 52 years old, was transported by the Air Evac Life Team to E.T.M.C. Tyler after an auto/pedestrian incident in Grapeland Thursday night, Sept. 23. Grapeland Chief of Police Dewayne Newman reported that on Thursday, about 9:31 p.m., Grapeland E.M.S. and Grapeland Police were dispatched to the scene. The Grapeland Volunteer Fire Department also responded. According to Newman, the woman was walking along FM 227 on the north side of the road when a pick-up truck approaching the bypass struck her with the truck’s right mirror. The case is still under investigation. |
