Burglars hit lumber company

Burglars cut through a fence at Stowe Lumber Company during the night on Friday, Sept. 5 and made away with an upright air compressor valued at nearly $600.
According to Crockett Police Department reports, the theft of the Campbell Hausfeld compressor
was reported to authorities at 8
a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 by a store employee.
The employee said the person or persons responsible cut the fence in two separate places and drug the 26-gallon machine across the property located in the 800 block of South First Street.
Charlotte Kimble, with Stowe Lumber Company, said they were offering a $200 reward for information leading to the solution of the case and urged anyone with information to notify authorities.
In addition, Houston County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
