Crime Stoppers: CRIME OF THE WEEK

The Crockett Police Department is seeking information regarding a theft that occurred sometime during the night of Tuesday, Aug. 19 or during the early morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 20.

An unknown person or persons removed a 16-ft. utility trailer, which was loaded with two John Deere lawn mowers.

The trailer, with a locking hitch, had been attached to a 1989 Ford Pickup and had been parked at the Beauty Box located on East Loop 304 in Crockett.

The person or persons responsible for the theft apparently broke the lock with a hammer.

Items taken included a 54-inch John Deere riding lawn mower, green/yellow in color, a 38-inch John Deere riding lawn mower, green/yellow in color, and the 16-ft. tandem axle utility trailer with black and white paint on the hitch with white pin stripping.

Houston County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading the arrest and indictment of the person(s) responsible for the thefts.
