Body recovered from river

TRINITY – The body of a 44-year-old Conroe woman was recovered from beneath the Highway 19 Trinity River Bridge on Aug. 20, according to Trinity County Sheriff Ralph Montemayor.
Carol Ann McGuire was pronounced dead at the scene after fishermen found the body among the bridge pylons.
The sheriff said autopsy results indicate the woman drown but said the investigation into the death is continuing.
“We found her car parked in the boat ramp parking lot near the bridge and right now it looks like she either fell or walked into the water,” he said.
Both Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Bobby Nicholds and Pct. 2 JP Bernie Beard were involved in the investigation.
