Housing Authority begins reorganization

The Housing Authority of the city of Crockett was open for business and assisting residents bright and early on Thursday morning, Sept. 3.
According to Interim Executive Director Odis Bryan, the office was open 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday-Thursday, Aug. 31-Sept 3.
Bryan said the office would be open 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, Sept. 8-10 as well.
“We are moving forward and the future will be good. I am confident of that,” Bryan said in an interview on Thursday, Sept. 3.
Byran did say that some employees were terminated on Tuesday, Sept. 1 due to finances.
In discussing the future of the housing authority in Crockett Bryan said, “We will make this a stable and safe place for our residents.”
Bryan, who managed the housing authority in Alto for 22 years, was appointed as interim executive director by the local housing authority board on Tuesday, Aug. 25 and reported for work at the local office on Monday, Aug. 31.
