Crash injures four

Crockett Police Department Officer Craig Osaw responded to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Fourth and Fannin streets on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, about 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 a 1985 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Adrian Pounders, of Grapeland, was westbound on Fannin Street and fafter failing to yield right-of-way collided with a 1998 Oldmobile driven by Marguita Houston, of Crockett.
After striking the Oldmobile, Pounders then reportedly lost control of the Blazer and struck a 2006 Chevrolet pickup driven by Ronald Hennesey.
Hennesey was cited for failure to yield right-of-way, expired driver’s license, no insurance and expired registration.
ETMC EMS transported Ms. Houston and her three passengers, Sheila Houston, Artabia Houston and Shawn Sandles to ETMC Crockett for treatment of the injuries they sustained in the crash.
Crockett Fire Department also responded to the call.
