On Tuesday evening Sept. 8, at about 4:55 p.m. Grapeland Police Department was dispatched to a location in the 400 block of Elm Street regarding a motorcycle that was hidden in the bushes.
Grapeland Police Department Chief Dewayne Newman sent Officer Robert Moffett to investigate the incident.
After receiving information from vehicle registration files, Officer Moffett determined that the motorcycle had been stolen in Palestine.
The motorcycle was towed to a secure location and Palestine Police Department was notified so they could pick up the vehicle for processing.
The motorcycle was reportedly involved about two weeks ago in a chase initiated by Grapeland Officer Kyle Duren.
As of press time on Friday, there were no suspects and the case remained under investigation.
