The Community Advisory Council of the Crockett State School will hold their first Celebrity Waiter Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Moosehead Café at 5-8 p.m.
The fundraising event will include dinner served by local celebrities and elected officials.
Those attending will purchase dinner from the regular menu and tip the celebrity waiters handsomely for service that may be traditional or unusual.
The tips that the waiters receive for their antics will benefit the programs of the Community Advisory Council that includes funding family visits, clothing for departing youth and other needs that may arise.
Admission is free and door prizes will be presented throughout the evening. Door prizes include tickets to Piney Woods Fine Arts Association events, Loveldy Old Gym events and the Texas Opry.
Waiters will include Crockett Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Douglas Moore, Grapeland Independent School District Superintendent Buddy Sumrall, Houston County Sheriff Darrel Bobbitt, Justice of the Peace Kathy Bush, Crockett Police Officer Andy Biscamp, Houston County Court of Law Judge Sarah Clark, Houston County Attorney Daphne Session, Houston County District Attorney Donna Kaspar, Catherine McCall, Theresa McDaniel, Norma Dell Jones, Crockett Mayor Wayne Mask, Crockett City Administrator Ron Duncan, Crockett Economic and Industrial Development Corporation Executive Director Tim Culp, Texas Youth Commission Deputy Director of Juvenile Corrections Alan Walters, Regional Director Alan Michel, Crockett State School Administrator Becky Harris and Assistant Administrator Stephone Coward.
