Fire destroys Kennard home By Jenna Duncan A two-story home on CR 1135 in Kennard burned to the ground on Sunday, Dec. 23, after four responding fire departments spent nearly four hours combatting the flames. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Emergency Management Coordinator and Fire Marshal David Lamb said. Based on preliminary reports and what he has learned from the homeowners, the fire apparently originated in the insert chimney but he does not yet know why it started. Fire departments from Kennard, Crockett, Belott and Weches responded. |
