Suspect in custody for alleged auto theft By Lynda Jones A deputy from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office followed a tip and located a stolen vehicle and the suspected thief in Crockett on New Year’s Eve. HCSO authorities stated that Rex Low, 23, was arrested Monday, Dec. 31 and charged with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle. The 2007 Chevrolet Suburban reportedly was stolen during a Dec. 17, 2012 burglary of a warehouse located on SH 21 West in Houston County. The deputy found Low and the stolen vehicle in the 100 block of El Camino St. in Crockett. Low was booked into the Houston County Jail and bond was set at $8,000. Low remains incarcerated as of presstime. |
