Grapeland Public Library schedules family history research classes for June

Family History research classes will be held at the Grapeland Public Library beginning Tuesday, June 4, library volunteer Diane Goode announced. The classes will run for three consecutive Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. "Our classes are focused on computer-based research, and will include use of the Ancestry software and databases, Find-a- Grave database, the basics of family history searching, pedigree charts and census records," Goode said. After completion of the basics class, researchers are invited to participate in one-on-one sessions with Al Kreger or Goode to work on more advanced research techniques or for assistance with family research.
