GPD officer fired for alleged policy, ethics violations
Houston County Courier
Grapeland Police Chief Chuck Franklin announced yesterday (Wednesday, June 26) that an officer with the Grapeland Police Department was terminated due to the conduct of that officer being brought to the department's attention. "The conduct of that officer violated the Grapeland Police Department policy manual, as well as violated the law enforcement code of ethics," Franklin stated. "It is important that the citizens of Grapeland, Texas know that their police department employees are expected to adhere to not only the laws they are entrusted to uphold, but to maintain their personal lives and their public lives within due bounds," Franklin continued. "Conduct that undermines that trust will not be tolerated by this administration." The name of the officer and details of the alleged offenses were not released.
