By Daphne Hereford, Managing Editor

Crockett Independent School district has declared three pieces of real estate surplus property and intends to sell the land and facilities.

According to CISD officials, the district intends to sell the former elementary school campus on South Tenth Street, the administration building on Burnet Street and vacant property on Fifth Street.

The elementary school property includes 10.6 acres of land and 45,579 square feet of building space.

The administration building is 4,356 square feet on .441 acre.

The Fifth Street property is 15.72 acres adjacent to the baseball fields in Davy Crockett Memorial Park.

According to CISD Superintendent Dr. Bill Like, with the consolidation of school facilities on Loop 304 the district no longer needs the former facilities and is offering them for sale.
