Four charged with drug possession

On Tuesday, Nov. 6 at approximately 12 a.m. Game Warden Zach Benge stopped a vehicle on FM 2022 on traffic violations and after conducting a probable cause search reportedly found approximately six ounces of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. 

The Houston County Sheriffs Office Narcotics Division was called to the scene to conduct an investigation. 

Four suspects, Brian Bridges, 19, of Latexo, David Wayne Hall, 19, of Crockett, Cody Gillum
19, of Grapeland and Ronald Phillip Duncan, 19, of Crockett were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less that five pounds but more than four ounces. 

Bond for each of the suspects was set by Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Clyde Black at $6,500.
As of press time Friday, Bridges had been released from the Houston County Sheriff's Office Jail on bond. The others reportedly remained in custody.
