Dr. Craig McMullen joins ETMC staff

East Texas Medical Center recently added a new staff member to the roster.
Dr. Craig M. McMullen is a family practice doctor with extra training in obstetrics and pediatrics and began seeing patients on Monday, Sept. 24.
McMullen earned a bachelor of science at Texas Tech University and finished his doctorate at the University of Texas in San Antonio.
Before making the move to Crockett McMullen had his own practice and was an active staff member at Shelby Regional Medical Center in Center.
When asked why he chose the specific area in medicine that he did, he said, "Family practice is the most complicated practice there is." He added, "I felt like I would rather see everyone from the time they were born, into later adulthood and into geriatrics."
Although he enjoys family practice in general, he says he enjoys one part a little more than the others. "I specifically enjoy delivering babies and taking care of them after." He continued, "I have received additional training in obstetrics and gynecology for such purposes."
With another doctor added to the fold, ETMC is making positive changes to ensure the community is covered in all aspects of medicine.
