CES Celebrates National Career Week

Crockett Elementary School celebrated National Career Week Monday-Friday, Dec. 10-14.
Students were invited to dress each day in a particular career field.
On Monday, it was the medical field, Tuesday, the professional field, Wednesday, the laborer field, Thursday, the service worker field, and on Friday it was a free choice for all students to dress as whatever they would like their future career to be.
The week was culminated with a career fair for the 4th and 5th graders.
The 8th graders from the junior high were also invited to participate.
Several community members joined in to share their knowledge with the students.
There were 23 different careers represented.
Students visited with the various representatives and learned valuable information to help guide them in selecting a future career.
Presenters during the fair included Dr. Ryan Camp and Dr. Cory Tucker veterinarians, Frank Cook self employed rancher, Todd Nightingale Texas Forest Service, Bert Brewer retired pilot, Larry Mays retired pharmacist, Coach Paul Parsons Crockett ISD athletic director, Johnnie McKnight retired teacher, Dr. Craig Hentzel vision specialist, Harvey Stewart retail store manager, Kim Bruner Crockett Police Department, Marilyn Mays school nurse, Deborah Kennedy dietitian, David Gay bank president, Donna Kasper attorney, Tom Streetman probation officer, Pam Morrison art teacher, Ann Fiolek principal, Dr. Bill Like school superintendent, Mable Thompson social worker, Eric Adams ETMC EMT, paramedic, Jerry Rhone ETMC EMT intermediate and Margaret Tuggle school counselor.
