Long Time City Employee Passes Away

The city of Crockett lost a longtime employee on Sunday, Dec. 15 with the death of Willie G. Green.
Green passed away at Methodist Medical Center in Houston following a lengthy illness.
He had been employed with the city for more than 19 years as a mechanic in the city maintenance shop.
Green was 51 when he passed away.
Two other members of the Green family are also employed by the city of Crockett.
"He was a dedicated employee, outstanding worker and will be deeply missed by all of his fellow employees and friends," said Crockett City Administrator Ron Duncan. 
Funeral arrangements are pending.
