Plans underway for 26th Annual Love-Fest

Plans are underway for the 26th Annual Love-Fest scheduled be held on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Lovelady.
The theme for this year's event is "Best Bloomin' Love-Fest."
Events kickoff with the crowning of the 2008 Love-Fest queen in a special coronation ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Lovelady High School Gym.
Festivities continue on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 a.m. with the 2nd Annual Michelle Lynn Holsey Foundation Love-Fest 5K Walk/Run at Lovelady High School.
Registration forms can be picked up at Houston County Ready Mix or Charles Arnold Real Estate.
Adults $20, seniors over 65 and children under 12, $12.

The fun continues with an exciting parade along Hwy. 19.

After the parade everyone will enjoy great food, entertainment and booths.

Then comes the judging in the annual Love-Fest Baby Beauty Contest at the First United Methodist Church of Lovelady.
Categories will include 0-6 months, 6-12 months, one-year-olds, two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and four-year-olds. Boys and girls will be judged separately.
Trophies will be awarded for the first place, second place, and third place in each group. High point trophies will go to the Little Miss Love-Fest and Little Mr. Love-Fest. The awards ceremony will be on the bandstand located in the city park.

The day of fun will end with a dance at the Lovelady Old Gym 7 p.m.-12 a.m. Those attending will enjoy the music of the Loose Gravel Band.
