Deaf Theatre, James and the Giant Peach performed in Crockett

More than 500 students from several school districts enjoyed the deaf theater production of James and the Giant Peach at the Crockett Civic Center on Thursday, Feb. 21,
Students from Crockett, Lovelady, Grapeland, Livingston, Centerville, Nacogdoches, Onalaska, Jordan and Trinity come to enjoy the educational production.
The play utilizing deaf theatre, showed students how sign language can be used to communicate.
Two of the actors performing in the play were deaf and used signed language to communicate their lines.
The play was hosted by Piney Woods Fine Arts Association and sponsored by Kevin Lilly’s McDonalds.
