Driver cited following Grapeland crash

An unidentified driver was issued a citation for failure to yield right-of-way following a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 287 north in Grapeland on Friday, April 4.
According to reports received from Grapeland Police Department Sgt. DeWayne Newman, a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by an unidentified person was eastbound on FM 2423 and after failing to yield right-of-way at the stop sign, crashed into a Ford 1/2 ton pickup driven by an unidentified individual, that was northbound on U.S. 287.
The impact of the crash pushed the Ford pickup into a 2001 Dodge pickup, driven by by an unidentified person that was reportedly stopped at a stop sign in the westbound lane of FM 2423.
Sgt. Dwayne Newman did not release the names of the drivers of the vehicles and said the crash occurred about 3:45 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Grapeland EMS and Grapeland Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the call.
