The sign on front of the building located on the southeast corner of the square will change from reading First National Bank to First Community Bank as soon as workers complete the arduous task that consumed most of the week.

The bank joined the First Community Bank family in a deal that was finalized on Nov. 30, 2007.

"Through our 116 years of doing business, we have stayed focused on our customers and that tradition will remain in place," said President David Gay.

Gay said the bank's charter, local board of directors, and loan committee will not change
He added that customers will have the benefit of utilizing branches in The Woodlands, San Antonio, central Texas, Sugar Land and the Dallas areas.

According to information released by FNB, the accounts will automatically integrate into the First community Bank system on Friday, May 16.
