Thompson wins fifth term
LIVINGSTON — County Judge John Thompson wins a fifth term as County Judge with a 3,700 to 1,371 win over challenger Kathie Freeman. Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Steven McEntyre won the Republican nomination with 903 votes to 256 for challenger Bobby Brame and 224 for Nicholas Baskin. The Polk County Enterprise is located in Livingston, published Thursdays and Sundays. The coverage includes all of Polk County. Several promotions appear each month in this award-winning newspaper. Annual events in the area include: the largest Youth Rodeo in Texas each July; Trinity Neches 4H/FFA Show each March; annual Fishing & Golf Tournaments; monthly Trades Days; and Holiday Celebrations. Sites of interest include Dam site at Lake Livingston State Park, Alabama-Coushatta Indian Tribe, Heritage Park Museum, Log Cabin and Locomotive.

The Enterprise operates a full commercial print shop and can accomodate all types of printing, from single sheet to commercial web.
