Service contracts on LISD agenda

LIVINGSTON — Trustees for Livingston Independent School District will address a lengthy list of items related to the upcoming school year at a meeting set for 6 p.m. Monday. The board will consider renewing the food service with Southwest Foodservice Excellence for the 2011-2012 year and approve meal prices. Trustees will consider approval of the third year of a multi-year agreement for physicals and drug testing for transportation employees. The board will weigh a proposal for continuation of student athletic insurance with an additional option. Other items to be considered include: • Proposal for the annual financial audit • Student drug testing • New positions for the 2011- 2012 school year. Informational items include a potential data for opening ceremonies for the new high school, school starting times and the eight period school day for the high school campus next year. The board will receive official notification of an application for a wine and beer retailers permit for off-premise consumption at the southwest corner of U.S. 190 and FM 350 South. Board members also will discuss spring training opportunities to meet required trustee training. Architect Richard Crump will present a construction update for the high school campus and Superintendent Dr. Darrell Myers will review reports on tax collection efforts. The meeting will be held at 1412 South Houston.
