Polk County Enterprise - August 2009
LIVINGSTON — Investigators with Livingston Police Department are working to recover more weapons taken during a residential burglary reported just before noon Monday. Homeowners reported a break-in in the 300 block of Post Oak just before noon Monday, Lt. Matt Parrish, LPD spokesman said. Several guns were listed among the items taken from the home. Travis Massengale, 27, of Goodrich was arrested and charged with felony possession of a firearm Monday night by Polk County Deputy Sheriff Chris Lima and Constable Bubba Piper. At the time of the arrest Massengale had a gun in his possession that was positively identified as stolen from the Post Oak residence. Parrish said investigators are continuing efforts to recover additional stolen weapons and other items. LPD Sgt. Ronnie Bogany served an additional arrest warrant for burglary of a habitation on Massengale at the Polk County Jail Tuesday night. LPD may file charges against other suspects, Parrish said.
