Polk County Enterprise - August 2009
TRINITY – The body of an 82-year-old Port Adventure man reported missing Monday was discovered Tuesday in a pond off FM 356 near the Sebastopol community in Trinity County. Kenlon Stuart Keys, 82, was last seen at about 8:30 a.m. on July 20 at his residence. He reportedly was planning on driving to visit his wife in the Groveton Nursing Home. After he failed to arrive in Groveton, a missing person report was issued in an effort to locate him. At the time of his disappearance, he was believed to have been driving a red 1990 Toyota Camry.
The car and Keys’ body were discovered on the evening of Tuesday, July 21 by a motorist. Keys’ car was submerged in the pond and his body was found floating nearby. He was pronounced dead at 7:20 p.m. by Trinity County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Randy Barrett. Rescue personnel from both the Onalaska and Trinity volunteer fire departments assisted in the recovery of the body and the car. |
