2 injured in Corrigan crash

CORRIGAN – Two Corrigan women were transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston following a one-vehicle accident Wednesday, July 29, on U.S. 59 in Moscow. A 1998 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Melanie K. Stewart, 38, of Corrigan was southbound in the inside lane when the vehicle veered to the right and the driver overcorrected, according to Trooper Darwon Evans. The vehicle left the road to the left and rolled numerous times. Stewart and a passenger in the Trailblazer, 35-year-old Jennifer Faber of Corrigan, were both listed with incapacitating injuries. The driver has been charged with first-offense DWI in connection with the accident, which occurred at 7:25 p.m.
