COLDSPRING – A 56-year-old father has been charged with murdering his 10-year-old son near Coldspring late Monday afternoon while seriously wounding his 12-yearold daughter. Predrag Perisic was arrested by San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Deputies at a friend’s residence where he had been staying with his two children. The two children were reported missing on Oct. 26 after Perisic failed to return them to their mother from a custody visit, according to authorities. The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Texas Attorney General’s Office Monday afternoon in serving a felony arrest warrant for Perisic at 21 Red Bird Lane, Coldspring. “Once officers cleared the first story of the residence and gained entry onto the second story gun shots were heard coming from the rear of the residence,” San Jacinto County Sheriff James Walters said. “Upon the arrest of Perisic, officers found the 10-yearold male and a 12-year-old female with injuries resulting from gunshots inflicted by their father. The 10-yearold male was transported by ambulance to Livingston Emergency Room and the 12- year-old female was air lifted to Hermann Memorial in Houston,” Walters said. “The 10-year-old male was pronounced dead at Livingston. The 12-year-old female at this time is in stable condition,” Walters added. Perisic is in custody at the San Jacinto County Jail charged with interference with child custody out of Harris County and murder in San Jacinto County.
