CORRIGAN – An 85-yearold Diboll man was taken by helicopter to East Texas Medical Center Tyler after fl ipping his pickup truck north of Corrigan. Rayford T. Barrett was westbound on F.M. 357 in a 2001 Ford F-150 when he entered a sweeping left hand curve and left the roadway to the right. Barrett overcorrected and veered across the road, leaving the road on the eastbound side. His truck struck a tree and then slid sideways and rolled two and half times before coming to rest on its left side. Barrett was listed as having sustained incapacitating injuries and was cited for failure to maintain safe speed and driving without a license. Although Banks was listed with non-incapacitating injuries, he declined medical treatment at the scene. No charges were fi led. The accident occurred at 5:25 a.m.
