County to consider beefing up addressing regulations
Polk County Enterprise - January 2010
LIVINGSTON — Polk County Commissioners will consider an addendum to the 9-1-1 Rural Addressing Order adopted in 1998 that would set a penalty for refusing to display the address in unincorporated areas of the county during Tuesday’s Commissioners Court session. State law sets out penalties for knowingly failing to display or refusing to display the address under Section 251.013 of the Texas Transportation Code. The court will also receive information on efforts to update the County Emergency Operation plan and consider approving its submittal to the State Division of Emergency Management. The court will also hear from the maintenance engineering department on application for an energy efficiency and conservation block grant. They will also review a plan to promote Polk County’s status as a Certified Retirement Community. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday on the third floor of the Polk County Courthouse. |
