LISD makes counteroffer to FUMC for bus drive

LIVINGSTON — Trustees for the Livingston Independent School District discussed several options for the bus exit at the new high school campus on FM 350 during a special budget/ construction workshop held Monday. Following a closed executive session to discuss real estate transactions, the LISD board voted unanimously to make a counter-offer of $4 per square foot for land grant access to U.S. Highway 190. The motion was made by Henry Ager and seconded by Mike Nettles. Trustees also voted to approve the purchase of five used school buses from National Bus Sales in the amount of $270,000. The board also held a budget workshop with presentations by LISD superintendent Dr. Darrell Myers and Director of Finance Ben Davidson during Monday’s meeting. A second budget workshop was held Tuesday night.
