4 hour manhunt ends with arrest on Morrison Rd.
LIVINGSTON — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation and Patrol Divisions into the whereabouts of Justin Handley, 32, of Livingston, who was the subject of outstanding warrants on felony and misdemeanor changes, according to Det. Christopher Lima. Investigators traveled to a location in the Big Thicket where Handley was believe to be, but they discovered that Handley had just left the residence. Investigators were able to obtain a vehicle description and it was located in the city limits of Livingston. Handley had exited the vehicle and fled into a nearby wooded area. A multi-agency search ensued with assistance from the Livingston Police Department, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden, Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Ranger Ron Duff. At about 8 p.m., after the search had been under way nearly four hours, Handley was apprehended in the wooded area where the initial search began and he was taken to the Polk County Jail without incident.
