LPD arrests 2 for burglary, jail 1 for sexual assault

LIVINGSTON — Livingston Police have arrested two teenagers for burglary of a habitation Monday and arrested another 18-year-old for a suspected sexual assault that occurred Friday night. Livingston Police Officer Chad Ward was flagged down by a resident in the 100 block of Milliken on Monday who reported items had been taken from his home. Ward and Sgt. Ronnie Bogany interviewed witnesses in the area who described two suspects. Both were found at a nearby residence. Christopher Robert Alexander, 18, of Onalaska and Devantee Bernard Ryans, 18, of Livingston were arrested for burglary of habitation after they gave statements to officers. In an unrelated incident Friday night, LPD Sgt. Darrell Newman was dispatched to a residence on Liberty Avenue at 1:55 a.m. May 29 where a sexual assault had reportedly just occurred. Based on initial statements made to Newman, Det. Ken Bohnert and Texas Ranger Ron Duff were also called to the residence. Keith Ladelle Wilson, 18, of Livingston was arrested for suspected sexual assault. LPD spokesman Lt. Matt Parrish said evidence was taken to the DPS Crime Lab in Houston and test results are pending.
